Menno Simons was a sixteenth century Dutch Theologian. He lived during the days of the Protestant Reformation, and spoke out against the idolatry of Roman Catholicism, as well as the failure of the reformation to break away from such practices as infant baptism, and transubstantiation, the idea that the bread became the body of Christ during communion.
He saw that faith to many reformers was little more than a head knowledge that did not lead to the new birth and a changed life.
